2004 State O-Mok-See Results
The Cut Bank Saddle Club sent 30 competitors to the State O-Mok-See held Labor Day weekend in Big Sandy to compete against approximately 250 contestants from 18 other Montana Saddle Clubs throughout the state. Cut Bank riders came home with 3 new State records & Reserve High-Point club honors behind the Big Sandy Saddle Club.

Cut Bank had six riders in the High Point standings including: Under 8 rider; Paige Larson who finished 3rd in her age group with 185 points and received a saddle pad with engraved trophy plate. Paige is the daughter of Steve Larson & Patrice Larson & rode against 34 other Under-8ers.

Jessica Fenger (photo) of Galata who rides for the Cut Bank Club finished 4th out of 45 riders in the 8-11 age group with 130 pts. Jessica received a Montana Silver picture frame. Her parents are Tim & Gayle Fenger.

In the 12-15 age group Jodi Norman took 6th overall with 90 points. She rode with 45 12-15 year olds & received an engraved tie-down. Her brother, Jack, also placed in High-Points in the 16-39 Menís division, taking 5th with 107.5 points. Jack received a trophy headstall.

Doug & Kim Norman were each Reserve Champions in the over 40 age groups. Doug was only 2 & Ĺ points behind the Sr. Menís Champion with 237 & Ĺ points riding against 37 other men, & Kim compiled 232 & Ĺ points with 40 women in her division. They each received an embroidered Jacket.

The Big Sandy club did an outstanding job hosting the State O-Mok-See, & their arena was in excellent shape as several records were broken. Some of the Cut Bank riders commented that they had also run their best times ever at this yearís State.
